The uncle who came was so respectful. He weighed everything in front of me and explained where the books would go. My late mother's kitab finally left the house the proper way.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is the shredding really Shariah-compliant?

Yes. We are Muslim-owned and the entire process was designed for Islamic materials: respectful handling, direct transport to our facility, and industrial micro-shredding until nothing is readable or recoverable.

Can I choose which masjid receives the donation?

Yes. Pick your masjid in the booking box above: Masjid Abdul Aleem Siddique, Masjid Khalid or Masjid Al-Abdul Razak. Every code gives you the same $10 off, and your choice decides which masjid receives the give-back for your booking. Prefer not to choose? Leave it with us and we will send it where it is needed most.

What happens after collection or drop-off?

Everything travels directly to our facility, where it is micro-shredded to DIN 66399 P-5, particles smaller than 30 mm squared, unreadable and unrecoverable. We do not shred at your doorstep.

Who makes the donation, and how does the masjid receive it?

ShredRite makes the donation, and your booking is what triggers it. We give $10 plus $1/kg for every completed doorstep collection to the masjid you choose, and $2.50/kg for every drop-off to the masjid you drop off at, transferred directly to the masjid every month.

Where can I drop off instead of booking a collection?

At a partner masjid. There is no booking fee and you pay the same per-kg rates.

Masjid Abdul Aleem Siddique (Telok Kurau): last Saturday of every month, 2pm to 5pm. Your materials are weighed in front of you.

Masjid Al-Abdul Razak (Kembangan): last Friday of every month, 2pm to 6pm.

Masjid Petempatan Melayu Sembawang: any time, self-service. Drop off your materials and pay by weight. Unsure how? Just approach the masjid staff.

Exact drop-off points and directions are in the Masjid Drop-Off section above.

Which days do you collect in my area?

North & West: Mondays and Fridays. East & Central: Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Pick your area in the booking box above and the calendar shows the available dates.

What if I don't know the weight?

You don't need to. We weigh everything in front of you at your door, and you pay by the exact kg: $5.50/kg for paper and books, $7/kg for frames and non-paper. Dropping off instead? You pay by weight at the same rates.

How do I pay?

We confirm your slot and payment over WhatsApp, PayNow accepted. Please note that booking fees are non-refundable once confirmed.

Ready to send them off the proper way?

Pick your give-back, area and date above. We reply within 1 hour, 9am to 9pm, InshaAllah.
