Quran Disposal Near You: Islandwide Doorstep Collection

If you typed "Quran disposal near me" into Google, here is the good news. You do not need a place near you. We come to you. ShredRite collects worn Qurans, kitab, madrasah textbooks and other Islamic materials from every HDB town, condo and landed estate in Singapore. You never travel. You never queue at a drop-off point. You never carry heavy boxes across the island on the MRT. We collect at your doorstep, then shred everything at our facility using a Shariah-compliant method to DIN 66399 P-5 standard. The particles come out smaller than 30 square millimetres. No ayat survives readable.

This page explains how our islandwide doorstep collection works in each part of Singapore, from Woodlands to Tuas to Punggol. If you are new to the topic and want the full picture first, start with our guide to Quran disposal in Singapore.

Why "Near Me" Does Not Matter Here

Most people searching this way are hoping their mosque or a nearby centre will take their old Qurans. Sometimes that works. Some mosques run collection drives from time to time, and if yours has one coming up soon, that is a good free option worth taking. But drives are occasional. They may not accept frames, cassettes, sejadah with printed verses or large volumes. And between drives, the boxes sit in your storeroom for months.

Our service runs year-round, by appointment, and takes the full range: Quran and mushaf, kitab, madrasah textbooks and workbooks, Yasin books, doa and tahlil booklets, khutbah notes, Islamic calendars with ayat, framed ayat and calligraphy, wedding and kenduri cards with Bismillah, newspaper clippings with Quranic text, sejadah and telekung printed with verses, banners and posters with ayat, and cassettes or VCDs of Quran recitation.

How Doorstep Collection Works

The process is the same wherever you live in Singapore:

  1. You book a pickup and tell us roughly what you have.
  2. We come to your doorstep and weigh your materials on our digital platform scale, in front of you. You see the exact weight before anything leaves your home.
  3. We transport everything to our facility at 66 Tannery Lane.
  4. We micro-shred to DIN 66399 P-5 standard, so no verse remains readable.

That is the whole process. No sorting rules to memorise, no packing standards to meet. Now, here is what collection looks like in your part of the island.

North: Woodlands, Yishun, Sembawang

Woodlands, Yishun, Sembawang, Admiralty and Canberra sit at the far end of the island from our facility. That makes no difference to you. There is no surcharge for the north, and the drive is our problem, not yours. One practical note for northern estates: weekend slots here tend to go first. Saturday mornings are the most requested window, so if that is when you are free, book a few days ahead. If your schedule is flexible, weekday afternoons are usually easier to secure at short notice. Either way, we confirm a collection window with you when you book, so you are not waiting at home all day wondering when the doorbell will ring.

East: Tampines, Bedok, Pasir Ris, Simei

Tampines, Bedok, Pasir Ris and Simei are home to some of the largest Muslim communities in Singapore, and the east is well covered by our collection routes. When you book, we agree on a window that fits your day: morning before work, afternoon while the children are at madrasah, or early evening after dinner. At your door, the weighing happens in front of you, kilo by kilo, and the price follows the scale. One useful tip for east-side families: if your parents or siblings live nearby, gather everyone's materials at one address. A single booking covers everything we collect at that doorstep, so one $20 booking fee can clear three households' shelves.

West: Jurong East, Jurong West, Clementi, Bukit Batok

Jurong East, Jurong West, Clementi, Bukit Batok, Bukit Panjang and Choa Chu Kang are all covered. A note that matters in some of the older western blocks: lifts that do not stop on every floor. If that is your block, tell us when you book. Our collector plans for the stairs and carries the boxes down. You do not need to shift anything to the lift landing or the void deck before we arrive. If you live in a condo along the Jurong Lake District or in Clementi, let us know the visitor registration steps and loading bay rules, and we will follow your management's procedure without fuss.

Central: Toa Payoh, Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Kallang, Geylang Serai

The central estates are our nearest neighbours. Our facility sits at 66 Tannery Lane in the Macpherson area, so Toa Payoh, Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Kallang and Geylang Serai are only minutes away. Materials collected here take the shortest ride to the shredder. Geylang Serai deserves a special mention. In the weeks around Ramadan and Hari Raya, many families do a proper clear-out, and old doa booklets, Islamic calendars and kenduri cards with Bismillah printed on them surface by the stack. All of it is accepted, and all of it goes through the same Shariah-compliant micro-shredding at our facility. If you stay in central Singapore, your pickup is a short trip for us in both directions.

North-East: Hougang, Sengkang, Punggol, Serangoon

Hougang, Sengkang, Punggol and Serangoon are fully covered, including the newest BTO clusters in Punggol. Blocks here run tall, and framed ayat or large calligraphy pieces can be awkward to bring down: glass edges, narrow lift doors, nowhere safe to set them while you wait. So here is an option many households prefer. For bulky frames, we can meet you at the void deck or lobby instead of your door, or come up to your unit as usual if you would rather not move them at all. Frames and harder materials are weighed the same way, on the digital platform scale in front of you, at $7 per kg. For more detail, read our guide to disposing of Islamic frames and calligraphy.

Our Facility Sits Near the Centre of the Island

After collection, your materials travel to our facility at 66 Tannery Lane, Sindo Building, Singapore 347805, in the Macpherson area. Macpherson is close to the geographic centre of Singapore, which keeps our routes short in every direction and lets us serve Tuas and Sembawang on the same footing as Toa Payoh. At the facility, everything is micro-shredded to DIN 66399 P-5 standard. That is a high security standard: particles smaller than 30 square millimetres, far too small for any ayat to survive readable. You never need to visit. The facility is where our work happens, not yours.

One Flat Price, Islandwide

Pricing is simple and identical in every postal district. Books and papers are $5.50 per kg. Frames and harder materials are $7 per kg. There is a flat $20 booking fee, and that fee does not change with distance. So 3 kg of books comes to $36.50 all in, 10 kg comes to $75, and 20 kg comes to $130, whether you are in Pasir Ris or Bukit Panjang. There are no hidden transport charges and no minimum weight. For worked examples and answers to common pricing questions, see our Quran disposal pricing page.

Common Questions About Coverage

Do you really cover Punggol, Tuas and Sentosa?

Yes. We collect from every part of Singapore, including Punggol, Tuas, Sentosa, Lim Chu Kang and everywhere in between. If your address has a Singapore postal code, we come to your doorstep.

Is there a travel surcharge for areas far from your facility?

No. The $20 booking fee is flat islandwide. A pickup in Woodlands costs the same as a pickup beside our facility in Macpherson. Weight charges are also the same everywhere: $5.50 per kg for books and papers, and $7 per kg for frames and harder materials.

Do I need to bring my materials to your facility?

No. You never need to travel. We come to your doorstep, weigh your materials in front of you, and transport everything to our facility at 66 Tannery Lane for Shariah-compliant shredding.

Can we meet at the void deck or lobby instead of my door?

Yes. If that is easier for bulky frames, or if you simply prefer to meet downstairs, let us know when you book and we will arrange it.
